It is aimed at couples looking for an easy, affordable and convenient way to plan their wedding so they can save time, money and stress. Every feature in SetelKahwin is user friendly and registration to this practical wedding planning platform/site takes less than a minute.

When did Setel Kahwin come about?

Hashim HD started off creating an online budgeting tool to help one of his friends who was getting married. The mission was to help his friend to plan a wedding without consuming too much of time, money, and hassle free. Eventually he was referred to other couples who were equally clueless about planning and budgeting which then inspired him to set up a website to share the tool among others alike.

How has SetelKahwin evolved?

He knew that to increase the effectiveness of his system a strong database of vendors was important. By studying the existing wedding platforms in the market and through the conduct of surveys among couples, most agreed that vendors were trying to sell and not advise them. The service of wedding planners/ consultants was an alternative but not everyone could afford their services.

Why should anyone planning a wedding use SetelKahwin?

At SetelKahwin every registered users have a common goal that is to help each other out. The social media platform in a nutshell means that the website is designed to accommodate those related to the wedding industry and make their business more transparent to prospective newlyweds. Imagine all of facebook users are a mix of wedding vendors and couples planning to get married!

Who else is behind the SetelKahwin team?

The website of course offers more than to wedding planning as his team includes bloggers who writes daily on the surrounding issues of marriage, health, local celebrity gossips and love among others. His blogging team is made up of a well known blogger Abg Nara (Beautiful Nara), Mdm Cupid, and MrBrute.

At SetelKahwin we have a basic vendor account that is free but with limited use of the services. An upgrade to a premium account would give vendors full service to our brand awareness and marketing service. More people are coming online to search for wedding vendors. By upgrading to Premium Vendor our team will help vendors to gain exposure online. At setelkahwin we serve targeted traffic. We have developed our platform not only as a tool for brides to manage their wedding but also humanise the relationship between brides and grooms to be with vendors.

What can we offer more through the upgraded service?

Brand awareness is gained from consistent market presence. This can be achieved through our premium vendor account and advertorial. Brand awareness is pursued through available features such as unlimited private messages, photo uploads and blog posts. There are also a few other initiatives to ensure continuous brand awareness. 'Senarai Semak' is not your typical checklist tool as it comes with a preloaded list of the usual wedding tasks one needs to do prior a wedding. 'Belanjawan' is an advanced budgeting tool that helps you to keep track on your expenses and also serves as a payment reminder when an item is due.

Who is it suitable for?

Most couples want to plan their wedding instead of just leaving it to parents. Unfortunately, we see problems such as 'don’t know where to start','where to find','what to do','who to ask', 'when should execute’ and 'how to manage'. Through SetelKahwin couples and parents can take part in the wedding planning process together as it is practical,user friendly and takes less than a minute to register. Setelkahwin is for anyone involved in the process.

When are the tools relevant to them?

They can use it anytime. Despite it is best used from the start of your wedding planning, yet if you are already half way through, it does not mean our tools are no longer relevant. It's like getting a personal assistant. It is never too late to get help.

How to use it?

For senarai semak, it is really simple. Just enter your wedding date, the system will load the default tasks and automatically organise the countdown date to your wedding day. For belanjawan, just add new item, insert the payment date and the amount. It will automatically calculate the grand total and also remind you when payment is due via email.
